Wycom Since 1994

Wycom is the parent company of Global Parcel Services, it was incorporated in Cuity Of Industry, California on 10/10/1994. 

Wycom started out designing and manufacuring a line of accessrories for iDEN (Integrated Digital Enhanced Network).  iDEN is a wirelesss technology from Motorola combining the capabilities of a digital cellular telephone, two-way radio, alphanumeric pager and data in a single network.  Duromg 1996 Atlantic Olympic, iDEN was used, and Wycom batteries were chosed for the event, because Wycom batteries had greater capcities and last longer than the original ones provided by Motorola. iDEN was also chosen by Nextel when it rolled out the first full digital netwrok across the US.

In 1996, Wycome became a Nextel Master Dealer in Southern California
